I remember when I many years ago started going to the little hole in the wall at Medborgarplatsen which is known as Akki Sushi, and I wasnt really expecting a couple of young Swedish guys to be running what, at the time, was described. The interior is made up of floor-to-ceiling white square tiles and perfectly sanded wooden benches, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. All that was quite strongly highlighted in 2016, when Sushi Sho was awarded its first Michelin star. It is unfortunately not possible to exclude rice from the menu. See More, august.
But they have significantly raised the bar for sushi in Stockholm. We can easily adapt the menu to accomodate for guests with dietary restrictions due to allergy or pregnancy.

However, the menu can not be made vegetarian as it always includes seafood. But the food really deserves a star, but the atmosphere is still just as casual as ever. The menu varies by season and produce available, and can differ from day to day. There is only one menu where the sushi is served omakase style, which means the chefs selection of sushi served one piece at a time. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, the place is small and gets fully booked fairly quickly, and go for the bar seats and enjoy the show in front of you. The price is no more than you would expected for real Japanese food and sake outside Japan. The first Asian restaurant in Sweden to get a Michelin star, this intimate Tokyo-inspired sushi bar has made a huge impact. Sushi Sho is my absolute favorite sushi place in Stockholm. Brilliant sushi, and very far away from what has become the norm for sushi in terms of the take away-sushi that has dominated the scene for way too long.
